Our Need for God

The Bible begins with the record of creation “God saw that everything he had made was very good” but Adam and Eve went their own way and men and women still go their own way.  Every week we hear of horrendous events which cause sorrow and a sense of helplessness.  Man tries to improve things but is powerless to make the far reaching and long lasting changes that are needed.  But God has not given up on his creation “he loves it so much that he gave his own son” (John 3:16 GNB) to put the world right again.  Human governments can’t do this.  We need God to send his son, Jesus the great healer, who fed the crowds and made it possible, by his sacrifice, for men and women to be raised from death to enjoy true life in his Kingdom.

God has made it possible for men and women to learn of him and his purpose through the message of the Bible.  Written hundreds of years ago by Prophets and Apostles and now we have it to read in our own language.  So the responsibility rests with each individual today.
