The Macclesfield Christadelphian Church has been in the town for over 50 years, since 1952. Initially we met in a hired hall, but in 1974 we moved to our present location in Pinfold Street. The building we now occupy there is a conversion of part of a row of cottages rather than a purpose-built church or chapel. Despite this it serves our purposes well and the rather domestic scale helps to create a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The church members come from a variety of backgrounds but share a common desire to support each other in trying to live our lives as part of God's family. We also try to do what we can to help others in the society around us and we are delighted to explain, to any who want to know, the basis of our faith and the hope that God has given us. To help to spread that good news further we sometimes hold public presentations or courses of seminars in public libraries or colleges in the district. These events will be publicised in the News & Special Events part of this web site.
Although most of us live in this part of Cheshire, our interests are not totally local. Through the involvement of a number of our members in our community's preaching and care work overseas, our little church in Macclesfield has links to distant places such as Malta and the Cameroon. So our reach is a little longer than first appearances might suggest.
